Tsunami Research Appoints Former Rational Software Corp. Executive as CEO

Kevin Haar to lead Midwest-based hive computing pioneer.

St. Louis, MO – October 25, 2004 – Tsunami Research, the software company pioneering hive computing, today announced the appointment of Kevin Haar as chief executive officer. As CEO, Haar will be responsible for advancing the company’s leadership position in the emerging hive computing market.

Haar is well known in the technology industry for his key role in building Rational Software from its roots as an obscure start-up into an industry leader with 98 of the Fortune 100 among its customers. Haar spent 17 years at Rational, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations—holding responsibility for global sales, support, and services—through the company’s $2.1 billion acquisition by IBM.

Haar’s initial involvement with Tsunami Research began in September 2003, when he invested in the company’s Series A financing and joined its board of advisors. Haar will succeed Tsunami Research co-founder Bob Lozano, who will continue to play an integral role in day-to-day company operations as Chief Strategist, and remains on the company’s board of directors.
