Kevin Haar

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kevin Haar is a software industry executive with a wealth of experience in company building. After six years at HP in a number of field and management positions, Kevin joined Rational Software in 1986 as the company’s first salesperson. Over the course of the next 17 years, Mr. Haar played a key role in driving the company’s transformation from a fledgling software startup into an industry powerhouse with over $800 million in annual revenues. Mr. Haar left Rational in 2003, following the completion of IBM’s $2.1 billion acquisition of the company. Prior to his departure, Mr. Haar served as Rational’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations with responsibility for worldwide sales, consulting, training, support, and business development. In addition, Mr. Haar sat on Rational’s executive management committee, through which the company’s four highest-ranking executives and two founders charted its strategic direction.

Mr. Haar holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Roberto "Bob" Lozano

Founder and Chief Strategist

Bob Lozano, a Tsunami Research co-founder, has been President and Chief Executive Officer since the company's 2001 founding. An experienced entrepreneur with a history of building successful companies, Mr. Lozano previously founded and led PaylinX, a leader in the payment solutions market. The award-winning PaylinX Payment Server enabled transaction processing and control for Internet and electronic commerce applications. PaylinX was acquired by CyberSource (NASDAQ CYBS) in July 2000. Prior to PaylinX, Mr. Lozano was President and co-founder of Tapestry Computing, a regional systems integrator and reseller that grew to become the 20th largest Oracle reseller in North America. Mr. Lozano's experience includes management positions with Southwestern Bell, Monsanto, Sandia National Laboratories, and Intelligent Computer Systems.

Mark Dunkel

Private Investor

Mark Dunkel is a managing partner with Southeastern Technology Fund, a venture capital fund focused on early stage technology investing in the Southeast and other areas of the country. At the fund, Mark focuses on investments in communications software and services, transaction processing, Internet, wireless and media. Previously, Mr. Dunkel held a number of roles at the Robinson Humphrey Company, most recently serving as managing director and practice group head for communications and information services. Prior to Robinson Humphrey, Mr. Dunkel was vice president of finance for Monolithic Components Corporation, a venture capital-backed start-up that manufactured ceramic chip devices.

J. Carter Williams

Private Investor

J. Carter Williams is currently a private investor and advisor to several early stage companies. Previously, Mr. Williams served as a director with Boeing Ventures, where he founded The Boeing Company's Chairman's Innovation Initiative, an internal incubator focused on new venture growth opportunities. Prior to this position, Mr. Williams led Boeing's technology planning process, which covers all aspects of technology adoption at The Boeing Company. Before the Boeing and McDonnell Douglas merger, Mr. Williams led several successful engineering and manufacturing activities at McDonnell Douglas involving design for manufacturing, process development, and product development. Through his affiliation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology he has been involved in several other entrepreneurial activities, including the MIT 50K competition and the founding of the MIT Entrepreneurship Society. Mr. Williams is a past President and Founder of the MIT Corporate Venturing Consortium, and serves on the boards of Tsunami Research, Viamorph, and First Choice Courier.
